In a world that is ugly...

Yesterday went from an all out fiasco to the best of days. I had arranged a shoot at a location (months ago), with a number of my photographer friends and some models. One by one they started dropping out, and then the final nail in the coffin came when the venue contacted me stating that they didn't have volunteers to keep the place open for us so we would need to postpone.

In the end we were left with three photographers and two models. Thankfully one of the photographers - fastchrisuk@fastchrisuk - suggested this derelict site. Chris brought the third photographer , neilru75@neilru75 and the two models made their own way there.

Let there be light

To say I was impressed is a massive understatement. The area is so big and easily accessible. There are so many different buildings to work in. Most are graffiti'd up, some with some quality art work, and some a bit "meh." But it just added to the place.

Stella art?

For a derelict site its was very clean (although I got home looking like I had climbed a chimney). What I mean by "clean" is that, usually with these derelict sites you usually find quite a bit of drug paraphenalia. I didn't spot any. Just these beer can "installations".

I will get some images of the models posted in the next couple of days, but I wanted to get these pics of the location up first.

About me:

I can mostly be found shooting models, aviation, motorsports and, when I can, wildlife. But I enjoy most aspects of photography. You can find more of my work on the links below.
