Hi everyone, it's great to be back writing and sharing with you. This time I will share a little about my day saving kittens from the storage shed at my boarding house.
With the end of my day off at the hometown, that means I have to leave the house and leave my unsatisfied cats to play with (you can see my cats in my previous post Not just pets, they are Family) and return to being a boarding house boy. all doing things alone. I arrived at the boarding house on Sunday around one in the afternoon and was still tired. I met a cat that I found three weeks ago before I returned to the hometown of the yard. The cat is in a state of pregnancy who always roams around my place of residence and it looks like she is a stray cat, maybe she is looking for a safe place to give birth to her babies.
When I returned, I found that she already had three tiny babies piled on boxes in a storage shed that looked dangerous.
At first, I ignored her around until a baby kitten was screaming like it was calling out to its mother. This Monday I just had the chance to move them all to a safer place in my room. yes, I moved them because the warehouse has a hole in the floor under it that can cause the kitten to fall when it's not with its mother. The first time I moved the mother initially refused and tried to take her children away from my room area. Seeing this I tried to convince the mother that I was not a stranger person and her children would be safe with me.
I replaced the old cardboard the mother used to put her children with the cardboard box where I kept books and used it for their beds. It looks pleasing to see them suckling with their mother. It reminds me of the first cat I raised when I was five years old, it has the same coat color as its mother and I adopted it when she was nursing.
Okay, next, after I finished moving the kittens, I bought the mother cat some food so that she didn't have to go around just looking for food. And finally the mother cat allowed me to care for and touch her kitten, she even looked familiar with me and rolled around in my room to wait for her kittens.
By moving them to a safe place means making them a responsibility that I have to take care of until they grow up. I'm not sure if I can raise them to adulthood because I'm not always at home and sometimes leave the house all day too, but I can't wait to see them grow up.
I hope they can grow up fast, so I can play outside with them.
Thank you for reading my post, nice to be able to share.
