First attempt at telephoto and motion photography

Photos taken with a Nikon D5300 and Nikkor 70 - 300 lens, but since the D5300 is an crop sensor at full zoom it is effectively a 480mm lens on the far end which is very helpful for this kind of photography.

I found it hard to balance the trinity of exposure for crisp clear photos, to get the correct shutterspeed to freeze motion effects the ISO and Aperture dramatically and with the lens only being 5.6/f at the long end you are forced to increase the ISO which introduces noise.

Although my lens has VR (Vibration Reduction) it was still a challenge to eliminate camera shake when tracing a moving subject. All in all it was a huge failure but I enjoyed learning through the experience.
