During my short stent as a trainer I preferred the open and fun sessions of smaller groups. People just seemed to open up more when they know each other and are not afraid of looking stupid. In large groups where there are not as many familiar faces people clam up and let the extroverts do all the questioning, (the people that want to impress the boss and really are clueless).
