Sterling, Alaska - Bings Landing
It has been a long winter. Spring burst forth with warm temperatures and plenty of sun shine this weekend. Such a change from our drive south a few days ago in cloud and fog covered skies that would occasional spit a few drops of water out.
Sterling Alaska Moose River:
It was a very nice day, 53 degrees Fahrenheit, and lots of sun with a few clouds to make for interesting sky. The view from Bings Landing in Sterling looking south south east toward the Kenai Mountains in the distance.
This is a boat tie up fishing area. The ladders and steps will be lowered soon. There were already a couple of boaters out on the waters. Not much stops the fishermen and women from their fishing hobby.
Still a little snow and ice, but at least most of the roads are open, the smaller pond lakes are opening up, and by next Sunday hopefully most of the lakes will also be ice free, it is reflection shot season soon.
There are a few picture specific communities and several general topic communities, so lets try to spread the post around and help grow our small business type communities. The box store curation communities are great don't forget them also, but lets try and keep some of the boutique style communities alive on hive also.
