This is Fisher Peak, as seen from the top of Mother’s Day Hill. Mount Fisher is one of the toughest mountains to climb in the East Kootenay vicinity, rated as a “difficult” hike. The mountain is approximately 2,850 metres tall, with a whopping 1,400 metres of elevation gain. In order to get to the trailhead, one must have a high clearance vehicle — think Jeep. In all honesty, this climb is beyond my pay grade. I’ll leave it up to the more advanced and fit hikers to take on this one. But I will be happy to photograph it! Thanks for stopping by.
