Wrong sandwich.
You know, I like the wrong sandwich where the sausage is sliced thicker than the bread and you put the sausage on your tongue first lol, not the bread, it's delicious.
But, such a sandwich always runs the risk of obeying the sandwich law, according to which a sandwich that falls on the floor will always fall with the sausage down...
Sandwiches come in different varieties, you can even see them during construction, when people, wanting to separate the foundation from the outer walls, put a layer of waterproofing material between them, for example, a strip of roofing felt, as in this case, which you see in the photo.
The purpose of this action is simple, to prevent moisture from the foundation, the waterproofing of which was not properly taken care of, from rising higher, to the walls of the house.
But this is a bad idea, especially in seismically active areas, because there is no connection between the foundation and everything above it, and in the event of an earthquake, the sausage on the bread smeared with butter can slide off and...
The best alternative to such an attempt to create a waterproofing layer is to use a sand-cement mortar in a ratio of one to two, this will be more reliable in all respects.
