If you are in this position can you do without your salary if the answer is no then you are addicted to that.
I have to say why you should invest because unless you can do without salary you are not a person with an addition so which is in the case is your employer so ask yourself how much am I even earning that I should invest that is not the point every month or week your boss gives you salary and that is like a seed that you need to invest.
What you want to do is not eat the egg or the salary eat the seed what you want to do is to plant it plant everything wait for it to grow and bear fruit the way your egg has bear fruit then you can use it to do what you want to do instead of eating your money every time.
Your salary becomes an optional income other than your next year's free one that you cannot do without always and it finishes every month even before the month end. That is our life already. Always do what is well for you and for your future.
