A few days ago I visited one of the gardens around where I work. In the garden there is a chayote.
In Indonesia people call the plant Siam pumpkin because it is said that the plant was brought from Thailand. Although basically the plant comes from Mexico and Latin America.
Chayote grows creeping on the ground. This plant also spreads to the wall around the garden.
Not only pumpkin fruit, the young shoots of this pumpkin can also be consumed as a vegetable.
Depending on the region, in my house this fruit is usually cooked and eaten with rice. The taste is also very good.
I took a picture during the day using my cellphone camera. I hope you enjoy it. What do you think about Pumpkin Siam?
