Why can't I hear the giggling sounds anymore?
The happy faces that greet me every morn,
It seems they are no more,
Maybe they are caught up in the mud.
Day in and day out, I stand alone with my thoughts on,
What could have gone wrong I asked no one.
Sighing deeply, I know the answers to my mind wars.
I heard a home is a place where you feel loved,
But where is the love when all I see is hurt,
It seems the world has gone sour,
And may never float back ashore.
The rumblings in my stomach are supposed to remind me of my mother's cooking,
But why do tears stain my eyelids like I have nothing,
It seems the world has lost everything,
Leaving me in a place filled with nothing.
The cry that leaves my lip crumbles my world every time,
But here I am seeking the usefulness of time,
As it seems every thought of mine threw the definition off.
To a place where time is gone.
Why do the inhabitants of this world have to be this cruel?
They could have left me in heaven where I can be at rest,
Why bring me into the world to shatter my all?
With no place to call home.
Abortions!!! That could have saved me don't you think?
Why did the mother not get rid of me?
Is there some specialty in me?
If there is, then why do I have to live in grief?
I want to give up on it all,
Stop working and have fun,
Is it too much to wish for,
I guess I will never have the liberty to know it all.
It is said that I should work hard in a legal way,
But 99% of people who made it never used it that way,
Instead, they curled up in an unhealthy maniac-sick way,
To make get their needs at bay.
Wars!!! One thing most of them have fun supplying,
And it is the citizens that end up crying,
I can't forget the ringing in my ears after hearing the firing of a gun,
Or should I speak about the lifeless body that filled the floor?
It isn't supposed to be this way,
The pain needs to go away,
But it is embedded in us and all we need is to find a way,
To continue living with the crucial pain.
Hope!!! The thought of it happening is farfetched,
But that is the only thing that keeps us refreshed,
Especially during the day's life feel unfair
Truly, I am homeless,
That doesn't mean I don't have a little place to rest my head,
I have seen many houses around,
But there is no home for them, they are all a bunch of homeless strangers.
Do you have a home or do you live in a house? Hmm. Many have lost their homes to war, famine, and discrimination and it never ends.
Though words are like knives that cut deeper than a two-faced sword… Actions are better as it gives an edge toward change.
And this begot these questions;
"What world are you creating?"
"What can you offer those who can't speak when you can?"
"What training are you giving to your future (Children)?"
And…
"Are you building a house or having a home?"
Stop making people homeless. Having home matters. Be a kindred spirit. Create a home with the people around and stop the act of war and discrimination.
We are all better than that? Or… Are you not?
Still yours truly,
Balikis.
