In my first ever Three Tunes Tuesday post I mentioned how I had quite the diverse taste for music and this Tuesday I wanted to further solidify that statement by going in a different direction from the other genres of music I've been recommending in previous weeks.
I'll be selecting my Three Tunes from one artist, artists actually since they're a band. They are called Kaleo. Kaleo is an Icelandic blues rock band consisting of 5 members.
I never even knew I liked rock music till I stumbled across one of their hit songs, which is the first song I'll be sharing titled
When I first heard it, It had this familiar feeling, I just couldn't remember where I heard it from. It was until I did multiple searches I realized it was probably from one of the numerous TV shows where it was used. I really like the vibe of the song, and then my favorite part is the guitar solo around 1:57 of this video. Everytime I get to that part I can't help but imitate the guitar sounds. I never get it, but it's always nice trying.
Of course after listening to Way down we go and enjoying it I needed to look for more, and that was when I came across
I like the beat in this one and how the lead singer's voice just matches with it, giving that feeling like I'm in a badass movie scene from Peaky Blinders or some other nice series. And lest I forget the guitars, always a magnificent performance from those guys.
The song lyrics also carries some deep meaning as it references some of the struggles of being a performer
"They'll take you in
And spit you out
You're only worth how much you sell"
The 3rd song I'll be sharing is called
It was a hard choice between this and Broken Bones but I chose this one because I felt some people may not like some of the wordings of that one. But you should definitely check it out, you may like it.
The vocalist went absolutely crazy with this one. He has an amazing voice and he showcased it here hitting some incredibly high notes .
The song has this rush to it, from the lyrics it's like the main character has this sudden rude awakening and realizes he's better than he thought he was.
Oh well, I hope you enjoyed listening to these songs. This is my entry for Three Tunes Tuesday. Special thanks to @ablaze for running these. Wish you a great week.
