I haven't posted for a long time but my life has been chaotic in recent months. It's also that I have been away from sewing for a long time for mental health reasons, maybe that's why my anxiety has been out of control.

Recently, while looking for something on the floor, I tore my favorite pair of pants. A rigid Jean without any type of stretch. So it's not that it has increased so much in price that they just made POP, or maybe it has and I prefer to be in denial.

Tengo mucho tiempo sin publicar pero mi vida ha sido caotica en los últimos meses. También es que tengo mucho tiempo sin coser por razones de salud mental, tal vez por eso mi ansiedad ha estado fuera de control.
Hace poco, buscando algo en el piso, rompí mi pantalón favorito. Un Jean rigido sin ningún tipo de stretch. Así no es que haya aumentado tanto de precio que solo hicieron POP, o tal vez si y prefiero estar en negación.

After a period of reasonable mourning, I began to think that perhaps I could repair them. I know it occurred to me that I could make it a little more fun than just putting a patch on it and calling it a day.

So I started looking at these embroidery ideas on denim clothing on Pinterest and I saw it! I want my pants with embroidery all over the rip. So the planning process began. Although to be honest, I only thought about how to prevent it from unraveling anymore and losing all the work I would be doing with the embroidery.

Luego de un periodo de luto prudencial, empecé a pensar que tal vez podía repararlos. Sé me ocurrió que podría hacerlo un poco más divertido que solo ponerle un parche and call it a day.
Así que empecé a ver en Pinterest estas ideas de bordados en prendas de mezclilla ¡y lo vi! Quiero mi pantalón con bordados en toda la rotura. Así que empezó el proceso de planificación. Aunque siendo sincera, solo pensé en como hacer para que no se desahaga más y perder todo el trabajo que estaría haciendo con el bordado

The first step I did was sew a patch across the entire tear in the pants.

Find temporary fabric. At that time I didn't have any scraps of denim on hand, so any flat fabric will do for the moment. The important thing is that it does not stretch. I used black thread because I just wanted to temporarily patch the patch and then remove it, so I don't mind it showing.

El primer paso que hice fue coser un parche por toda la rotura del pantalón.
Busque una tela provisional. Porque en ese momento no tenia ningún retazo de mezclilla a mano, así que una tela cualquiera plana servirá por el momento. Lo importante es que no estire. Use un hilo negro porque solo quería poder el parche de manera provisional y luego quitarlo, así que no me importa que se vea.

The second step is the important one.

Make a safety stitch around the entire tear.

Since I couldn't use my sewing machine due to the location of the tear I did a back stitch by hand, which is the strongest hand stitch in my opinion. I used a thick blue thread to blend it in a bit.

El segundo paso es el importante.
Hacer una puntada de seguridad alrededor de toda la rotura.
Como no pude usar mi máquina de coser por la ubicación de la rotura hice una puntada atrás a mano, que es la puntada a mano más fuerte en mi opinión. Use un hilo azul grueso para que se disimulara un poco.

Then I just embroidered what I felt like it.

I placed my small embroidery hoop carefully and just embroidered it.

I made a jasmine. A daisy, a tulip, and a bunch of flowers that I have no idea what they are called.

I wanted to only do one side of the rip because I love the unfinished look for this project, I think it takes away from the innate tenderness that is within any garment with embroidery.

Luego solo borde lo que me provocara.
Puse mi aro de bordar pequeño con cuidado y solo borde.
Hice un jazmin. Una margarita, un tulipan, y un montón de flores que ni idea de cómo se llaman.
Quise solo hacer un lado de la rotura porque me encanta el look sin terminar para este proyecto, creo que le quita la ternura innata que hay dentro de cualquier prenda con bordados.
