Chili forest or better known as chilli Jawa with Latin name Piper retrofractum is a type of spice that is still related to pepper and cubeb. Although the name is the same as chili spice that we often consume, but its use is different.This chilli plant grows itself and twists in the kedondong tree. If the chili pepper that is identical with the spicy flavor tends to be used as a spice in cooking, herbal chili is widely used as a traditional herb medicine. The fruit is compounded multifarious grayish green when young, hard texture, then turned into yellow, gradually became red and texture was softened.
This chili fruit has properties as a medicine for abdominal pain, colds, beri-beri, rheumatism, low blood pressure, cholera, influenza, headaches, impotence, bronchitis, and shortness of breath. Therefore, many herbs are needed as a traditional herbal medicine and modern medicine / capsule and mixed drinks.
