Based on my readings, I think his changed views does reflects a major change in his beliefs, because this is hard to fake.

Elon is doing a lot of that himself, but polarizing a lot of talented people against him. It is a fact that without talent, you can't remain world's richest person for long.

Well that is wishful thinking from me, data from 2024 is incomplete. Usually the last quarter is the highest sales, so it can still make a new high in 2024. At least the marketcap is declining, and that is perhaps a better indication and forward looking statement regarding change of perception as opposed to unit sales.
