Amara entered the conference room, walking steadily to the head of the table. she was already ten minute last and as expected four ladies were already sited waiting for her. they become quiet and alert as she approach. amara noted with quite satisfaction, tags a smart young lady walked behind her, files in her hands. immediately amara got to the end of the table she instantly draw the chair and sat down tags quickly and neatly arranged the files on the table and pass a tab to Amara.
Thank you Amara said with a straight face,collecting the tab and placed in on table, she placed her hand in the table as taga passed around the printout the the four ladies.
when tags finally sited Amara passed a little smile on her face and turned to the ladies. hello ladies she called like she was just seeing them.

sorry I was late, I need to attend to other things.
she began, but since am here let get down to business, am going to make this meeting as short as possible because I have other appointment to catch so be attentive as possible.
The ladies nodded and murmured their acknowledgement , adjusting their seat and position and placing a smile on their faces trying to impress her. she noted this and mentally scored the way they carried them selves, she smiled, well you all knew why this meeting being held .
You have been under training for the past two weeks and going thru post practical event planing. we have taking you thru the decorations, style, colour combinations , courtesy and manner of approach, how ever this is when u need to put all u have learn to speak for u, amara said and stood up keeping her contact with the four ladies as she continued, here in Ara p we boost of impeccable and unbeatable event planing right from the reception of the event to the end of it.
We strived to deliver excellent service and we have been known for our professional approach to any event. she paused and noticed that one of the girls was jotting down what she had been saying, she mentally added point to her, the girls didn’t know that their test had started.

she closed the door to her office and walked to her table, it has been six years now and who would ever think that she would be an event planner, she hadn’t thought of it her self. it had happened so fast, she was surprise how far she had come, her dream of becoming a doctor had been trampled. after heating the rock bottom and all she wanted was to get back again, she had quickly realized that been destroyed, and the way to get back is stop mourning the dead. her experience had changed her. she turned from a naive girl to a strong independent girl.
After leaving Kevin six years ago, she had walked around Abuja for several weeks before she meet a lorry driver who was headed to Lagos. the kind minded man helped her because he was traveling alone. the man even feed her in their way. coming to Lagos was the best decision she had ever made because there was always something to sustain her self in the ever busy Lagos. her ladder to success wasn’t an easy one but she made it, she wasn’t where she wanted to be, but she’s not stopping.
Amara took out her system and took it out of the stand by mood , checking the company email but found none.she just checked some minute ago and was not expecting to find any,but checking the email had become her habit even thou taga always stay on to check and keep her informed if she found any. she always wanted speedily responds to her costumers who choose to send email instead of calling. finding no email she opened her spread sheet she had been studying.
She had three event coming up now and all their preparations are ready. all the event where wedding ceremony and it seems that everyone wanted to sentence their self in prison of marriage. everyone one wanted a happy ending after. dreams that only fairy tales talk about.if only they knew what they would get here in real life” is sadly ever after”;they would not happily accepted to sentence their self in prison.
she heard a knock on the door and the door cracked open and only one person would do that, taga was the only who did not see her as the high and mighty ara” if thou she respected her, which made them seem like frds rather than boss and staff when they are alone.
she could say what ever that comes into her mind without wasting time. even thou she was her secretary she was more like a personal assistance to her. she feels pride in calling her self a PA , even thou Amara hated it when she was over stepping her bound. still she can’t fire her because she was not stone hearted as she wanted to be.
hey boss the girls are coping very well with their first test, sitting down without Amara permission. that good to hear amara said without lifting her head from her system. a mail came in now and a company is celebrating their third year and they want to as their event planner. Amara lifted up her eyes for the first time and wondered y she always check her email, when tags would always be the first to find it out. that would be good news, that means will be working on something else than wedding.
Taga smiled , wait till you hear the company’s name, she said with happiness in her voice. Barcket” she said.
Amara was surprise, the news pleased her well
not because of the. AME but because of the status of the company. the company had surface from no where and it took over others
