Change is natural to existence and common to all creatures.
It is both evidence that we are alive and proof that we are finite.

Generally there are four categories of change which are:

The change happening around us – these are unexpected or unforeseen situations that tend to affect our society and in the process have some impacts on our personal lives.
The change happening to us- these are unanticipated as well and usually affects our personal lives, families and so on.
The change happening within us – are unexpected or unforeseen situations that tend to affect us directly.

The change we initiate- this is something well planned, it is created by plans we implement to make us better.
The decisions we make to bring about a mega transformation in our lives.
A lot of people do not get the best of change because they expect things to remain the same always or be in their favour.
We need to know that everything changes and there are different seasons in life.
Life is not constant.
So when change happens to us we should not get furious or devastated.

You need to know that:
Nothing on earth is as constant as change.
Change is continual; it occurs all through our life time.
Everything changes, our values, beliefs, knowledge, desires, relationships etc.
Change cannot be avoided.
Change is a principle of life and creation
How to manage change

The Two Approaches To Change Are Reaction And Response.

You react to change by allowing it catch you unawares and leaving you shattered or it makes you believe that there’s nothing more to do. Reacting to change allows it take advantage of you.
Responding on the other hand is making out something productive from the unexpected change.
Always see how each situation can benefit you.
You may not choose what happens to you but you can chose to react or respond to them.
You can determine to allow change have an adverse effect on you or rather convert it to a great opportunity.

Often, we make plans and end up not achieving the desired.
Rather than allow it destabilize you, see it as an opportunity to achieve something else.

In order to respond to change, you need to accept, adjust and accommodate change.
See it as a necessary part of life.
Anticipate and prepare for it always. Now, this does not mean you have to be negative or always expect the bad to happen but be conscious of the fact that things may not always work as planned.
You do not only prepare for what should be, you also prepare for what could be.

ACTION POINTS

Never hold on to possessions too tightly, nothing remains forever except GOD who reigns forever.
Always maximize critical change such as a traumatic life event.
It could be a turning point to completely change your life.
These periods of critical challenges might become the most fruitful and creative period of your life.
Allow change to stretch you and not break you. Let your personal motto be innovation.
You don’t have to be ruled by what happens to you, you should control whatever the outcome and determine the effect it has on you.
Constantly remember in the midst of these changes there lies an unchanging factor- GOD and that should give you confidence in the midst of unsettled times and God’s promises do not change as well.
You don’t have to be apathetic, accepting everything as God’s will but you can always respond to those circumstances knowing that God works all things for our good.
No matter what happens in your life be grateful. It is not your final destination.
In the midst of these changes, persevere in your given purpose; the failures are only temporary because Gods purpose will prevail.
