I had some terrible tummy cramps this week. When you are suffering with tummy cramps it slows you down and you can't work nicely because the pain brings you down. All I wanted to do was lay down and be in my bed all day. I did not want to do any work. Even when laying down, you can't find a comfortable position where you feel okay and every time you toss or turn it just worsens the situation.
No matter how nauseous you may feel, you have to eat something because that does tend to help with the pain, as well as reduce your nausea. Drinking a lot of water is helpful. Water will help to flush out whatever infection you might have and keeps you hydrated. Bananas are well known for reducing tummy cramps. The lack of potassium usually causes muscle cramping. Milk often enhances cramps especially for those who are lactose intolerant. If you are suffering with tummy cramps, stay away from milk. I have found that eating dates had helped me. Dates help with your digestion.
Apple cider vinegar is not the most delicious of things and definitely not one of my favorites, however, it shows quick results with removing tummy cramps. Dilute about a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and a tablespoon of honey in a warm cup of water and drink the mixture, it usually gives fast relief. I drink a lot of rooibos tea. It is also great for removing tummy cramps. Rooibos tea has no caffeine. Caffeine may worsen the pain.
There are many other foods and things that could possibly be helpful with tummy cramps. The stuff that I have shared above are the things that I have tried and I found it very effective. It helped me to get rid of the cramps so that I could get back on track!
