Collaborating with artists such as Skrillex, Blaqstarr, and Troy Baker, M.I.A. recorded the mixtape earlier this month in London. M.I.A.'s previous album, "Mata," was released in the fall of 2022. Before that, she unveiled three singles: "The One," "Popular," and "Beep." In 2021, M.I.A. released "Babylon" alongside the auction of her 2010 mixtape "Vicki Leekx" as an NFT.
"Mata" marked M.I.A.'s return since her 2016 album "AIM." The artist also revealed in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 that she is now a born-again Christian.
