Today I woke up in my cozy hotel in Newcastle and went down to breakfast to plan my day. I decide to go out to the coast and walk along the beach at Whitley Bay.
The weather was cloudy but it wasn't cold. We walked out to St. Mary's Lighthouse which stands at the end of the bay on an outcrop of rocks. Its quite impressive. There we see some seals on the rocks. You can just see them in the photo below.
We then walked back down the beach and found a takeaway food van. We bought chips and gravy and chips and curry sauce. These are very northern. You won't find them on sale in the south of England.
