I don't think I've drawn with sticks since I was five years old, I never thought it would be complicated. Accustomed to giving everything relief, realistic and not flat, it was a challenge.
There are many ways to spend an ideal weekend, at least for me, but when nature and the people you love come together, it's the best thing that can happen.
A weekend has many hours, of course, but if we spend some of those hours in an ideal way, then our week is more beautiful.
I've had many of those ideal days, but the best ones have been surrounded by greenery, vegetation, nature, especially trees and lots of oxygen. A walk along paths where there are no people, in a place far from the city, from noise, cars and everything related to them, that's ideal.
A place where you can smell nature, where you can hear its sounds, the breeze blowing through the leaves of the trees and perhaps a waterfall. It's always more perfect for me if the place has water, such as a lake or lagoon, fountains... water is life.
But at the same time, if that walk is combined with a picnic with the people you love, such as your family, it becomes a very special weekend.
Mate is a must at an Argentine picnic. Of course, there has to be something to eat, something we have prepared ourselves, simple but homemade. But mate, as I said, is a must, as it means sharing, and there is nothing better than sharing with your family.
Between sips of mate in the midst of nature, there are conversations about everyday life and random things. It often happens that when it's my turn to drink the mate, I hold it so long that my family complains because it gets cold. I remember that and smile.
If it's a winter weekend, the mate is hot, with water at 80 degrees, and may have a little coffee in it. But if it's summer, we have tereré, which is cold mate, prepared with cold water, lemon, or another juice, and lots of ice. I don't like sugar in it, so I use squeezed lemon and not another juice with sugar.
So what makes that day, that moment, ideal and special is the combination of nature, family or people you care about, and mate, but don't forget good conversation.
I'm writing this post while remembering so many of these moments, especially in forest parks or the botanical garden. I feel like going there now.
We can make weekends ideal with simple things, and that's the best part. This and other weekend topics are brought to us by @galenkp to invite us to reflect and share experiences. Thank you very much for that.
Thank you very much for joining me today. I wish you all a very good weekend. See you soon.
