Finding silence in nature and then listening to what it has to tell us is the best thing of all. She often makes us listen to what is really true, our inner self.

After more than two weeks of intense heat where going for walks in the bush, or anywhere other than the beach, are very difficult, especially because of my history of low blood pressure, I was able to enjoy a beautiful walk away from the city.

When I lived in Argentina, in summer, my blood pressure was at rock bottom, there was no way to have energy. Summers were torture.

Here everything has changed, but this abnormal heat wave in my city, although in the rest of Spain it is normal, made me hesitate to do these long walks, especially if you have to climb a lot of slopes.

I preferred to take shelter.

This hill is the closest one to me, and it is ideal to disconnect, to be in silence, far from noise, people and everyday life.

Nothing to be heard here on the hill, just the breeze of the wind, the occasional bird and the way the air rustles through the leaves of the trees.

The rustle of the leaves as I walk, always wearing good shoes because the earth and the small stones are very slippery here.

At this time of the year it is essential to wear comfortable clothes, and the necessary equipment, because of the heat. Drink plenty of water and also take something sweet and something salty to eat. A hat is a must so that I don't get sunstroke.

I've been walking for about three hours.

The most dangerous thing is when I go down, as I have to watch my footing and make sure that the loose stones on the ground don't cause me to fall and hurt myself. It has already happened to me.

The humidity gets those stones wet and it's even more complicated but always a challenge.

The climb can be tiring and indeed it was, the sun was strong and the path was getting harder to climb.

As I was going along I saw on one side of the road some ravines, full of vegetation and I said to myself I will go down, but then the ascent will be complicated. I'd better leave it for the winter.

I stopped at times to rest and admire the landscape around me. It is contradictory, it seems to be dry, arid, but the rocks are humid, maybe because of the sea, which is not far away.

The plants that I found around me seemed dry, although they were not. Many were acclimatised to the environment, to the temperatures. Many plants such as cacti, others medicinal, grow naturally, on their own. I took some thyme for my meals, it is delicious.

Nature gives us everything we need, vegetables, fruits, meat, spices. It's wonderful.

The sun was on my face, I think it was already red. But I came to a place with trees to rest and be in the company of silence.

I love silence, it is in that state where I connect with myself and with the energy of nature.

You can think better, you can breathe better. The fresh air in the middle of the trees is incredible. You can breathe. I don't know if the rest is breathing. Maybe I had an excess of oxygen, but I felt great and from time to time I need to do this. Whether it's near the sea or in the middle of nowhere, hills, natural parks, in the middle of nowhere and without people.

It's as if the brain purifies what it doesn't need and is left with clean air to get back to daily life.

Hasn't it happened to you?

The views are beautiful up there and the contact with the trees, touching them, their trunks, leaves, is fantastic.
I spent a long time disconnected, just them and me.

I lost track of time, but now the sun was shining differently, I started my way back. The light when it changes place makes everything look different, another dimension of the same place.

Nature makes us discharge bad energies, thoughts that should not be there, and allows us to nourish ourselves with what we really need, life, light, joy.
