Often, the designs I create stem from images that pop into my mind for no apparent reason. I’ve always loved epic designs and motifs, and those with a fantasy theme, perhaps because I dream that such things might exist somewhere, like the tales of elves, fairies and magical beings of light.
This particular design is just like a postcard or a card based on those magical or fantasy themes, where nature and creatures such as unicorns, elves and fairies come together, with the colour green, symbolising hope and health, taking centre stage above all else.

Muchas veces los diseños que realizo provienen de imágenes que sin ningún motivo aparente aparecen en mi mente. Siempre me han gustado los diseños o motivos épicos y los de fantasía quizá soñando que estos últimos existan en alguna parte, como los cuentos de duendes, hadas y seres de luz y mágicos.
Precisamente este diseño es como una postal o una tarjeta basado en esos temas mágicos o de fantasía, donde se unen la naturaleza y seres como el unicornio, los duendes y las hadas y primando el color verde de la esperanza y la salud sobre todas las cosas.
Process in pictures - Proceso en imágenes
The design was created entirely in Photoshop CS6 without the use of AI, using 12 royalty-free images spread across 18 layers.
To create the background, I made a layer which I painted with a colour gradient ranging from grey-green to a very soft shade of yellow. On top of this layer, I placed the two images that look like leaves: one of white leaves, from which I removed some of the background and arranged in two layers at different positions and scales, using the ‘Lighter’ blending mode; and with the second image of leaves, I did the same, but using the ‘Hard Light’ and ‘Overlay’ blending modes. On top of this, I placed the unicorn using the ‘Darker Colour’ blending mode.
I then began placing the various elements, such as rocks, fantasy houses, vegetation, trees and the elves—in different parts of the design, varying the scales and, based on my judgement of what looked best, using the ‘Darker Colour’, ‘Normal’ and ‘Soft Light’ blending modes. Finally, I worked on the image of the fairy’s face across two layers, having first erased the background, and using the ‘darker colour’ and ‘lighter colour’ blending modes, adding diffuse glow filters to bring light to the face and applying outlines to make it look more like a drawing and to emphasise the edges.
The animation is done completely in After Effects, working on the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for better contrast.

El diseño está realizado completamente en el programa Photoshop CS6 sin uso de IA con 12 imágenes sin derechos de autor distribuidas en 18 capas.
Para crear el fondo hice una capa que la pinté con un degradado de colores entre verde gris y algo de amarillo muy suave y sobre esta capa dispuse las dos imágenes que parecen hojas, una de hojas blancas de la cual borré algo de fondo y dispuse en dos capas en distintas posiciones y escalas y con la fusión de color más claro y con la segunda imagen de hojas hice lo mismo, pero con las fusiones de luz fuerte y superponer. Sobre esto coloqué el unicornio con la fusión de color más oscuro.
Luego fui colocando los distintos elementos como las rocas, casas de fantasía, vegetación, árboles y los duendes, en distintos lugares del diseño, variando las escalas y usando según mi criterio de lo que se veía mejor, las fusiones de color más oscuro, normal y luz suave. Finalmente trabajé la imagen del rostro del hada en dos capas, borrando previamente el fondo y con las fusiones de color más oscuro y color más claro, añadiendo los filtros de resplandor difuso para otorgar luz al rostro y bordes añadidos para que se parezca más a un dibujo y resaltar los bordes.
La animación está realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.
