Rainy days are inspiring for me, whether in graphic art, painting or writing. I think there’s something in the water or in the sound of it that transports me, and where my mind imagines far more than usual. My friend Claudia always says that my imagination knows no bounds, but when I hear the rain or the sounds of the sea, it’s awakened even more.
But the rain also invites reflection; although for many it is a cause for sadness, or perhaps melancholy, it’s a time when one can recall certain moments in life and reflect. This design captures a rainy day, even walking in the rain, the landscapes are beautiful and the vegetation becomes even more beautiful in the rain, the green is greener and glistens. I think that’s why I love the rain so much.

Los días de lluvia son inspiradores para mí, tanto en el arte gráfico, la pintura como en la escritura. Creo que es algo en el agua o en el sonido de ella que me transporta y donde mi mente imagina mucho más de lo normal. Mi amiga Claudia dice siempre que mi imaginación no tiene límites, pero cuando escucho la lluvia o sonidos del mar se despierta mucho más aún.
Pero también la lluvia invita a pensar, aunque para muchos la lluvia es motivo de tristeza, o quizás melancolía, donde uno puede recordar ciertas cosas de la vida, reflexionar. Este diseño refleja un día de lluvia, incluso caminando debajo de ella, los paisajes son hermosos y la vegetación se vuelve más hermosa con ella, el verde más verde y brilla. Creo que por eso me gusta tanto la lluvia.
Process in pictures - Proceso en imágenes
The design was created entirely in Photoshop CS6 without the use of AI, using 12 royalty free images spread across 20 layers.
I created the background using two images: one of a two-colour watercolour painting and another of water, which I overlaid onto the first using the ‘Overlay’ blending mode. I then used the two watercolour paper images as a background for the images of rainy landscapes featuring people walking. I used the first images in Normal mode and the ones I overlaid with the ‘Darken’ blending mode. I applied the ‘Drop Shadow’ and ‘Inner Glow’ layer styles to the two watercolour paper images.
I selected the compass and placed it in a corner of the design using the ‘Hard Light’ blending mode. I selected both the bubble image and the flowers and placed them in different parts of the design at varying scales; I also added a ‘Drop Shadow’ layer style to the flowers.
I then worked on the images of the two women using the ‘Darken’ blend mode, adding more light and contrast. Finally, I selected some of the fantasy rock and vegetation elements and placed them in different parts of the design, some in ‘Normal’ mode and others using the ‘Darken’ blend mode.

El diseño está realizado completamente en el programa Photoshop CS6 sin uso de IA con 12 imágenes sin derechos de autor distribuidas en 20 capas.
Realicé el fondo con dos imágenes, una de una acuarela de dos colores y otra de agua que superpuse sobre la primera con la fusión de super poner. Luego usé las dos imágenes de papeles acuarelas como fondo para las imágenes de paisajes de lluvia, con personas caminando. Las primeras imágenes las usé en modo normal y las que superpuse con fusión de color más oscuro. A las dos imágenes de papeles y acuarelas les coloque estilo de capa de sombra paralela y resplandor interior.
Seleccioné la brújula y la coloqué en un rincón del diseño con la fusión de luz fuerte. Tanto la imagen de las burbujas como las flores las seleccioné y coloqué en distintas partes del diseño, con distintas escalas y a las flores les agregué un estilo de capa de sombra paralela.
Luego trabajé las imágenes de las dos mujeres con la fusión de color más oscuro y dándoles más luz y contraste. Finalmente seleccioné algunas de las partes o dibujos de rocas y vegetación de fantasía y las coloqué en distintas partes del diseño, algunas en modo normal y otras con fusión color más oscuro.
