One day, when I was wandering along country roads in the vicinity of our city (and all this happened in the summer, in the month of June), I met an unexpected beast on the road. I didn't notice him right away because he wasn't moving. Most likely, he heard my footsteps and decided to hide to avoid danger.
Moreover, its coloring allowed it to merge with the ground of the road. But I walked slowly and carefully looked at everything around me. And even the fluttering butterflies could not distract me from the fact that I was also carefully looking at my feet.
It's possible that if I hadn't noticed this little monster, it could have got under the sole of my shoe. But fortunately for both of us, everything ended quite well.
And this brown beetle stayed alive, and I was able to take some pictures of this beautiful creature.
What struck me most about him was his mustache. They were simply huge compared to his body. They were practically the same size as himself.
I think it wasn't easy for him to wear such huge antennas. After all, they are not only long, but probably heavy. The beetle was moving slowly along the road, and I almost lay down on the ground and tried to shoot it in macro mode. But the sharpness was lost all the time, the sun was shining in my eyes and the beetle was crawling away from me all the time.
Finally, I took a general picture and wished the beetle a happy journey.
I don't know if he noticed my fuss, which I organized around his person, or if he just mistook me for a big tree.
But no matter how much I later walked along this road, I never met this monster.
