There is so much to be excited about with Splinterlands at the moment.
I haven't read much about what other people are excited about, but I'm happy to share mine.
I'm very excited that the Node Validator licenses are now providing SPS without actually, having to run a node just yet. That's a nice little bonus I wasn't expecting.
I'm excited for Riftwatchers to go on Presale tomorrow.
The presale is the first 500K packs, and I honestly have no idea if that'll disappear in minutes, or weeks. I'm getting ready to buy some packs as soon as possible just to have a chance at the promo card.
I'm excited that SPS holders will get the new GLS token airdropped to them for a year. That is wild.
I'm slightly excited for Runis... I think I'll try and get one just because I think the concept is cool, but I do worry that the Splinterlands team might be concentrating on so many new ideas and not necessarily concentrating on developing land. I understand it's super complex and it needs to be integrated correctly and tested thoroughly... but it's also been some years since land sold out.

There have definitely been moves and proposals designed to encourage players to push to the higher leagues, and that is exactly what we want. We don't want it to be more profitable to run lots of accounts instead of one good account. I've definitely noticed the difference, and unfortunately, I think this means that the league I used to scrape into on the last day of the season might be too hard for me and my collection to get into.
For the first time in a long time I just wasn't able to get into Champs III despite my best effort. I was shocked but I'm impressed that the Splinterlands team are motivating players in the right direction. Champs III should be super hard to get into, especially as the rewards get better and better.
By not getting into Champs III, it has meant I spent so much time in Gold in the current season that I'm not sure I'll get into Champs III this current season either.

Thanks KioKizz for adding SPS into the rewards categories now. Pretty excited that I earned nearly 1000 SPS for playing. I'm still also pretty excited to be getting merits for wins as well.... but man, I really want those Champ III rewards. I'm definitely feeling the pull...
