Ah, I don't think that's exactly correct. I'm from Victoria and my understanding is that you can't have a gun specifically for self defense, but if you used a gun in self defense and didn't use excessive force then that's legally defensible. I'm not a lawyer or gun owner so I'm happy to be corrected on this.
If you don't mind sharing, in your opinion, is there any point where too many children have been murdered in their classrooms where you'd consider a change in the US gun safety laws? Could fear of your loved ones gunned down by high-powered weapons ever be greater than fear of the government?
