Every loss of innocent life before it's natural time is tragic and sad, especially when they are so young and would have had so much more time, my heart goes out to all victims.
That being said, something I notice every time there is a school shooting or some kind of mass shooting on our soil "close to home" is that many immediately jump to trying to ban or further regulate and control guns, yet those same people RARELY EVER seem to speak out against their own governments dropping bombs on schools, hospitals, weddings, etc.
Our government can basically go overseas and murder millions of innocent people and almost no one even cares at all enough to even say anything about it, but if something happens close to home so many people are like crying and... It's kind of weird.
I understand how you can be more attached to those who are closer to you, but... It's still weird to see how people who claim to be so caring can completely ignore much worse atrocity just because it isn't so close to home and is perhaps done by the same "authority" figures who they want to take everyone's guns away.
Now think about that for a second please... The same people who have been murdering millions of innocent people for decades and longer are the same ones that many of these people want to have a monopoly on guns and violence?
According to some scholars "democide" or "death by government" is the #1 leading cause of unnatural death in history with government murdering hundreds of millions of innocent people in the previous century alone, and that is who many of these individuals want to give our ability to defend ourselves to?
Give the leading cause of unnatural death even more power over us? I dunno... That doesn't sound like the best idea to me.
Also... In order to try to take guns away from the common people... You essentially need to USE guns or other weapons against the common people forcefully... So, the majority of people who call for banning guns or gun control either haven't really thought the situation through far enough or they aren't truly against banning guns and only just want certain people to have a monopoly on the guns as they appear to trust government way too much and seem to only want some of the most corrupt ruthless psychopathic mass murderers in history to have all the guns.
Government is likely the most corrupt establishment we have on this planet and giving them a monopoly on guns and violence is probably one of the worst things you could do in the long term interest of humanity and all other species on the planet and it would likely result in many more losses of freedom to the point that the average person becomes even more slavelike than they already are.
If anyone reads this who believes in banning guns or controlling them more feel free to try to correct anything I've said that you think may be wrong, I try to stay open minded... However, I studied this for many years and I really don't understand how giving all the common people's main ability to defend themselves via guns to the most untrustworthy war mongering mass murderers in history is a good idea.
PS... The gun is the great equalizer, it allows someone who is not physically strong and well trained in martial arts to defend themselves much more easily and effectively and it also allows one person or a small group to defend themselves much better against a larger group of people.
But, if you tried to ban all guns it's like saying "Sorry, you can't defend yourself in any significant way" to all those people who can't properly defend themselves for whatever reason whether they have health issues or if they are outnumbered or whatever.
PSPS... In regard to the meme, I wouldn't say JStark made gun laws obsolete... Though, he definitely helped a lot in his own way and gun laws are already kind of obsolete in a similar way that laws against drugs are and how they will never be able to win that war and people will continue to do all those drugs if they want to and placing them in the black market will create even more demand and "criminals" willing to make money off of increased prices.
Perhaps instead of using the same kind of tactics we despise so much in regard to "war" to "combat" things we don't like, maybe we should try understanding and love instead? Maybe war isn't the solution to get people to stop doing drugs or to stop owning weapons or whatever it is you don't like about other people... Maybe the answer is... Love? I dunno. Just throwing some ideas out there. <3
All these government type individuals can do really is punish people, they can't stop it. Not without going to extreme lengths that would resemble some of the worst atrocities in history, though also I don't think it can last... Love/Freedom has a way of surviving and there's a strong desire to protect one and their family and friends, people find a way... Laws don't really stop people, they can only discourage, threaten or punish.
