¿Qué pasa si no puedo avisar?
Cuéntame, ¿te has podido reconciliar contigo?

Hi dear friends from Humanitas, I hope you are well. Today I want to share with you a small reflection on life and loneliness.
Why the fear of loneliness?
I share with you that I have always had a very great feeling of loneliness in me. Maybe it happens to everyone, or not. But there are periods of my life in which I feel alone and it is very different from being accompanied or not. I speak of inner loneliness. And here comes the phrase "we are born alone, we die alone" because that is why having company is like a comfort. However, that inner loneliness feels like an emptiness, I miss myself. The search for company begins.
I remember reading The Odyssey and stopping to think about the solo adventure that Odysseus was undertaking. And I was very curious about all the mental connotation of the trip. In fact, of all the fantastic powers, I would like to know what others think, but not to know what they think about me (I would be scared to know it). I would like to know how they are doing, their life, the challenges and above all the loneliness.
Loneliness is rooted in the intimacy of thought. Nobody can know what I think unless I express it in some way. It turns out that not even we ourselves are 100% aware of our life and existence. Thoughts flow, they are nourished by experiences, moments, they build a world. And it turns out that when we are alone (literally) is when we realize what we have built.
The result is not always positive. Nor is it 100% negative. But it is surprising. Because in this fast life. When you stop it is a whole experience of meetings. It's like when we see the ceiling, and we really make an observation, you notice the cracks, the colors, you stop to think how many times they have painted the ceiling ... Well, the same happens with loneliness.
You stay alone, you stop your gaze and no longer to the outside world, only to the inside and you are greatly surprised to notice what before seemed unconscious. Example, a few nights ago I was alone and the noise of silence disturbed me much more than before. I felt chills and remembered that at home, I always left the TV on. Sometimes I've thought it's an exaggeration. Why fear silence? Because that's when your thoughts scream the most.
What thoughts are you afraid of?
Being alone is fun when I do things, and I'm focused on it. It's like a kind of meditation. But when I don't, I feel severe anguish. I remember what I did, what I said, what I didn't say, and thoughts come to remind me of what I can't do. As a patient of a very painful chronic illness, being alone is to face imaginary scenarios. What do I do if this happens? What if I can't warn?
They say we should know ourselves better, get along with ourselves. But this situation is quite peculiar because knowing ourselves means taking off layers, filters and personally it seems much easier to do it in front of others than alone. Taking off layers hurts, it deconstructs you and makes you feel vulnerable to no one but you.
Loneliness teaches us the peace that our own body and space should make us feel.
Tell me, have you been able to reconcile with yourself?
