Hello everyone, what I propose today is the illustration that completes the triptych of drawings dedicated to the animated work Neon Genesis Evangelion created by Hideaki Anno. In the two previous posts I presented the illustrations dedicated to the EVA01 and EVA02 (which I invite you to retrieve via the links), the subject of today's illustration is the EVA00. Also in this case to create the work I used a photo depicting a statuette of the robot. I decided to set the scene in the middle of the hills, by the sea. Unlike the other two illustrations, which are set in an urban environment, this one is in a natural environment, this choice is deliberate, those who follow the series know that this robot is piloted by a clone (and not only) while the other two they are piloted by human beings. I wanted to differentiate them clearly.
This illustration was also made entirely in vector by Illutrator. As for the previous ones, the first step was to create the robot project, it was quite simple, also thanks to the experience gained with the two previous projects. After the robot was finished, I drew the weapon and only at the end the landscape.

After the drawing I moved on to the coloring phase. I wanted to use delicate colors, also in this case the choice of colors served to differentiate this design from the two previous ones. After coloring, I added very strong highlights and shadows, as I always say, adding highlights and shadows completely transforms the drawing. Below I show you the robot after being colored.

Once the drawing was done, I wanted to have fun creating some color variations. Even in the coloring of the variants I did not want to exaggerate with the saturation and keep a soft color.

Ciao a tutti, quella che vi propongo oggi è l'illustrazione che va a completare il trittico di disegni dedicati all'opera animata Neon Genesis Evangelion creata da Hideaki Anno. Nei due precedenti post vi ho presentato le illustrazioni dedicate all'EVA01 e all'EVA02 (che vi invito a recuperare tramite i link) , il soggetto dell'illustrazione di oggi è l'EVA00. Anche in questo caso, per realizzare l'opera ho utilizzato una foto ritraente una statuetta del robot. Ho deciso di ambientare la scena in mezzo alle colline, in riva al mare. A differenza delle altre due illustrazioni, che sono ambientate in un ambiente urbano, questa è in un ambiente naturale, questa scelta è voluta, chi a seguito la serie sà che questo robot è pilotato da un clone (e non solo) mentre gli altri due sono pilotati da umani. Volevo differenziarli in modo netto.
Anche questa illustrazione è stata realizzata totalmente in vettoriale tramite Illutrator. Come per le precedenti, il primo passo è stato quello di realizzare il disegno del robot, è stato abbastanza semplice, anche grazie all'esperienza maturata con i precedenti due disegni. Finito il robot, ho disegnato l'arma e solamente alla fine il paesaggio.

Finito il disegno sono passato alla fase di colorazione. Ho voluto utilizzare dei colori delicati, anche in questo caso la scelta dei colori è servita per differenziare questo disegno da i due disegni precedenti. Terminata la colorazione, ho aggiunto luci e ombre molto forti, come dico sempre, aggiungere luci e ombre trasforma completamente il disegno. Qui di seguito vi mostro il robot dopo essere stato colorato.

Ultimato il disegno mi sono voluto divertire creando delle varianti colori. Anche nella colorazione delle varianti non ho voluto esagerare con la saturazione e mantenermi su una colorazione tenue.
