Hello everyone, today I want to present an illustration that I recently made, an illustration that portrays the Eva01 of the Evangelion anime. For those unfamiliar with animated work, this is a 90s anime written by Hideaki Anno. There are giant robots, but it's much, much more. The work is extremely mature, and it is very layered, I recommend anyone looking for a quality product to look at it.
To create the drawing, I took as a reference an image depicting an Eva01 action figure. First I drew the robot, then I drew cities, flames and clouds. The beauty of this illustration lies in the coloring, flat colors without shades, sharp and intense lights, strong shadows. The design is deliberately stylized. Below you can see the drawing paths, drawing that was entirely made in vector with Illustrator.

As can be seen from the design path, despite being a minimal design it has an extremely complex path. Putting all the elements together was a great challenge, but I really like the result.
Below you can see the colored robot in spot colors, the color plays a fundamental role, in fact thanks to the color I was able to make the image dynamic. Thanks to the lights and shadows I was able to create different levels and thicknesses.

After the illustration I enjoyed creating some color variations. Making this type of drawings, in addition to being an excellent exercise, allows me to create unique and particular compositions, it is great fun to be able to create a design with such important characters.

Ciao a tutti, oggi voglio presentarvi un'illustrazione che ho realizzato di recente, illustrazione che ritrae l'Eva01 dell'anime Evangelion. Per chi non conoscesse l'opera animata, si tratta di un anime degli anni 90 scritto da Hideaki Anno. Ci sono i robot giganti, ma è molto, molto di più. L'opera è estremamente matura, ed è molto stratificata, consiglio a tutti quelli che sono alla ricerca di un prodotto di qualità, di guardarla.
Per realizzare il disegno, ho preso come referenza un'immagine ritraente un'action figure dell'Eva01. Come prima cosa ho disegnato il robot, in un secondo momento ho disegna città, fiamme e nuvole. La bellezza di questa illustrazione sta nella colorazione, tinte piatte senza sfumature, colpi di luci netti e intensi, ombre marcate. Il disegno è volutamente stilizzato. Qui di seguito potete vedere i tracciati di disegno, disegno che è stato interamente realizzato in vettoriale con Illustrator.

Come si può notare dal tracciato del disegno, nonostante sia un disegno minimale ha un tracciato estremamente complesso. Far funzionare tutti gli elementi insieme è stata una bella sfida, ma il risultato mi piace moltissimo.
Qui di seguito potete vedere il robot colorato a tinte piatte, il colore svolge un ruolo fondamentale, infatti grazie al colore sono riuscito a rendere dinamica l'immagine. Grazie alle luci e le ombre sono riuscito a creare differenti livelli e spessori.

Finita l'illustrazione mi sono divertito a creare delle varianti colori. Creare questo tipo di disegni, oltre ad essere un ottimo esercizio, mi permette di creare composizioni uniche e particolari, è un grande divertimento poter creare un disegno con personaggi così importanti.
