Hello everyone, even today I show you an illustration dedicated to Neon Genesis Evangelion, specifically in the drawing that I present to you today I illustrated the EVA02. This drawing shows the EVA02 taking a huge leap during a battle. Also in this case, as I did for the illustration regarding the EVA01, I took as a reference a photo that portrays an action figure of the robot.
Drawing the robot was the first step, the position made the operation quite complicated, but nothing impossible. In the second phase I drew the buildings of the city and the clouds. I added many white lines and portions to the edges of the drawing to create an effect that simulated speed, to increase this effect I duplicated the robot by adding transparency. In my opinion, motion blur was successful.
As always, coloring is an extremely fun time, in fact at this stage the drawing comes to life. In the final step I added lights and shadows, these lights and shadows give thickness to the drawing.

As mentioned earlier, after drawing the robot, I moved on to coloring. The coloring, while very funny, presented some complications, in fact many red areas overlapped, so I had to use two slightly different reds.
Finally, I wanted to create some color variations. I must admit that I really like the result of the variations and I prefer it to the original. In particular, I find the first variant very interesting, the white robot that stands out on the dark colors that I really like.

Ciao a tutti, anche oggi sono a mostrarvi un'illustrazione dedicata a Neon Genesis Evangelion, nello specifico nel disegno che vi presento oggi ho illustrato l'EVA02. Se volete vedere il precedente disegno, o volete qualche informazione in più sull'opera anime di Neon Genesis Evangelion vi consiglio di recuperare l'articolo al questo LINK. Questo disegno ritrae l'EVA02 spiccare un enorme salto durante una battaglia. Anche in questo caso, come ho fatto per l'illustrazione riguardante l'EVA01, ho preso come referenza una foto che ritrae un'action figure del robot.
Disegnare il robot è stato il primo passo, la posizione ha reso l'operazione abbastanza complicata, ma nulla di impossibile. Nella seconda fase ho disegnato i palazzi della citta e le nuvole. Ho aggiunto ai bordi del disegno, molte linee e porzioni bianche per creare un effetto che simuli la velocità, per aumentare questo effetto ho duplicato il robot aggiungendo una trasparenza. Secondo me, l'effetto movimento è riuscito.
Come sempre la colorazione è un momento estremamente divertente, infatti in questa fase il disegno prende vita. Nella fase finale ho aggiunto luci ed ombre, queste luci e ombre conferiscono spessore al disegno.
Qui di seguito potete vedere il disegno in fase di lavorazione, l'illustrazione è stata totalmente realizzata in vettoriale con Illustrator.

Come detto precedentemente, dopo aver disegnato il robot, sono passato alla colorazione. La colorazione, anche se molto divertente , ha presentato delle complicazioni, infatti molte zone di colore rosso erano sovrapposte, quindi ho dovuto utilizzare due rossi leggermente differenti.
Come ultima cosa ho voluto realizzare delle varianti colore. Devo ammettere che il risultato delle varianti mi piace molto e lo preferisco all'originale. In particolare trovo molto interessante la prima variante, il robot di colore bianco che spicca sui colori scuri mi piace molto.
