This time I made a paper flower basket using art of origami. There are four colorful origami cosmos flowers in that basket. Each flower was made using four equal-sized folded paper. The leaves of the flowers also need to be made. I think this flat flower basket would make a beautiful wall hanging piece for home decoration. That flower basket was made using only colored paper. Other materials needed are scissors, glue, pencil and ruler. It includes both step-by-step pictures and text showing how to make the flower basket.
In the first step, I folded the shape of the basket. I needed a piece of paper of the same length and width. I cut this paper with 15cm. I made creases on the paper at equal distances. I made them by folding the paper in half step by step.
I folded the paper in half again. I folded the two bottom corners up to the top edge and unfolded them. I folded those edges again to the folded lines I had obtained. I continued folding the two edges.
In this step, I cut a piece of paper with 6cm and 15cm. I folded the paper in half and folded the two edges to the center line. After folding it in half, folded one side of the middle line to get the same creases. Folded the other side of the middle line in the same way and unfolded it. Glued the paper along the top edge of the first folded paper. Folded the corners a little. You need to glue the folded areas on the back.
Cut the paper with 40cm and 5cm for the handle. Folded the two edges inwards and glued along the edges. This will be used as a handle.
For the flowers, you need to cut the paper into equal lengths. I made four flowers of different sizes. Folded the paper in half and folded the left and right edges to the center line. Unfolded them and folded those edges to the crease lines you have made. Folded the top edge down. Made the left and right sides as petal shapes. Moved the petal shapes towards the center line. Folded the edges a little bit.
After making four such papers, cut a square of paper. Folded this in half twice. Glued the petal-shaped folded paper on the paper.
You also need other flowers. Cut the yellow paper with 3cm and 21cm. Folded the paper in half and cut small pieces on one side. Rolled the paper and glued the ends. Glued the tiny flower in the middle of the flower. Made another flower in the same way.
Cut the green paper with 5cm and 15cm for the stems. Folded the paper in half and folded the two edges to the middle. Folded this in half again and glued along the edges.
For the leaves, cut the green paper with 6cm and 15cm. Folded the paper in half twice. Drew a pattern on it and cut it out. Made another leaves in the same way. Glued the stems, leaves and flowers together. Placed them in the basket.
I think the final piece looks truly beautiful with its bright, colorful flowers. These beautiful pictures were carefully shot to show all the details. I will continue to make more beautiful ones. I really appreciate you reading my post to the end.
