So guys today I’m going to share a craft idea with you. In this post we’re going to make a T-Rex using paper. It’s an origami T-Rex. So let’s get started.
It’s actually very easy and your T-Rex will be ready in just a few steps. After making it you can use it as a decoration anywhere you like.
First of all we need a square-shaped piece of paper. If you don’t already have a square piece of paper I’ll also show you how to make one.
First take a normal sheet of paper. Fold it diagonally from the top-left corner or the top-right corner downwards just like this. You’ll see that there is some extra paper left at the bottom. cut that extra part off and you’ll have a square-shaped piece of paper.
Now fold this square paper from both sides to make rectangle-shaped folds and then open it again. After that fold the paper into a triangle shape. Then fold one side towards the inside. Do the same with the other side. This will create a smaller square shape.
Now take this small square and fold both of the front edges towards the inside until they meet in a straight line in the middle.
After that open those folds again. Then open the paper from the bottom and shape it like this. Once you have this shape fold it back towards the inside just like this.
Now turn the paper over and do the same thing on the other side. Open it up in the same way.
Once you have opened it don’t close it back yet. Take the head part and fold it once towards the left and once towards the right. Then open both folds and shape it in a way that a small part comes out from the middle.
After that fold the bottom part. If you look at it from the side it should look something like this.
Now take the part that is sticking out and fold it. Once you’ve folded it slightly fold the head towards the inside so that it doesn’t look too pointed.
Then take the part under the head and fold it slightly. This will become the T-Rex’s arm.
Now let’s work on the tail. Take the tail part and fold one side downwards. After folding it fold the tip towards the inside and then fold it back towards the outside. This will make one of the legs.
Do the same thing on the other side to make the second leg.
And that’s it! Your origami T-Rex is ready.
You can make it using paper of different colors and decorate it however you like. I didn’t have any colored paper available at the moment so I made mine using a normal sheet of paper.
