Many people waste large amount of time worrying about a multitude of issues. Paying the bills, making sure they can survive the daily office politics and everything else.
Spending valuable time trying to squeeze yourselves into the mould that society expects you to fit? None of this is healthy

Increased cortisol levels makes it harder to sleep, build muscle and also lowers your testosterone. Look at some of bad habits you do everyday...
Most bad habits are designed to put you at ease on some level, nail biting and other types of self harming behaviour cause endorphins to be released.
Endorphins have a relaxing effect, this is part of the reason people self harm.
Dopamine on the other hand has a simulating effect, gaming, smoking and almost all of the non self harming bad habits are linked to this.
You essentially become addicted to a series of dopamine hits and can actually be unaware of the cycle you have created.
Some people can unconsciously cause stressful events that increase dopamine levels, without being aware. For example always running late to catch the bus to work.
Get prepared. By embracing a lifestyle of self improvement and preparedness you can overcome the daily stress.
Exercising is an excellent replacement activity for dopamine release, with much healthy effects than running for the bus.
Likewise, meditation is a replacement for endorphins, although I prefer reading.
Building positive habits is key to surviving and thriving. Being prepared is another way of adding value to your life.
For example creating a prep box with enough food for a week, will give you security if you are snowed in or lose your job.
Storing food for 3 months is a insurance policy against unemployment and you lose nothing as the food will be eaten.
Upgrading home security is another way of reducing anxiety and may lower your insurance tariffs. Think of self improvement and prepping as investing in yourself and future.
