Museum Diaries: Manila Edition πŸ›οΈ

So last Friday (Feb 28 2026), our school dragged us all the way from Cabanatuan to the National Museum in Manila.

I'm not gonna lieβ€”when I first walked in and saw room after room of old paintings, my first thought was "here we go again." πŸ˜… Like, don't get me wrong, they're beautiful and all, but sometimes it's hard to get excited about "just pictures" when you'd rather be anywhere else.

BUT... okay, fine. As we walked through, I started noticing things. The way the light hit these massive paintings, the stories they were trying to tell, the fact that some of these artworks have been here for over a hundred years. There's something kind of powerful about standing in front of history, even if it's framed on a wall.

The ride from Cabanatuan was long, and my feet definitely hurt after walking through all those galleries, but I guess that's the thing about museumsβ€”you don't always realize what you're absorbing until later.

Still not sure if I'd choose to spend my Friday here voluntarily, but I'm glad we came. Maybe? πŸ˜‚

And here’s some pic from our tour, they are just paintings... πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚

Shoutout to my classmates who made it less boring though. You know who you are. πŸ’™
