❤️ Some Words Stay in Our Hearts Forever…

The past few days have been incredibly emotional for me. And it’s not because of grand events, awards, or achievements. It’s because of people. Their words, their gestures, and those little moments that remind us why we do what we do every single day.

Recently, I found out that I had been nominated for the Preschool Teacher of the Year award in the 2026 Education Awards in Poland.

I felt incredibly happy, proud, and, to be honest, a little surprised.

Because, after all, I’m simply doing my job. A job I truly love, even though it can sometimes be demanding, exhausting, and far from easy.

Yesterday, one of the parents said something that touched me deeply:

“We’ve only been living in Poland for two months, and the only thing I like here is Ms. Patrycja.”

For a moment, I was speechless.

Today, I met a mother whose child attends a completely different preschool group. She came up to me, congratulated me on my nomination, and said something that warmed my heart all over again:

“But I’m not surprised by your nomination at all. Of course I’m going to vote for you!”

Just a few simple sentences.

And yet, they meant so much to me.

Because, you see, when you work as a teacher, you don't always see the results of your efforts immediately. Not everything can be measured, counted, or written down in reports.

Sometimes, the result of our work is the smile of a child who, not so long ago, was afraid to enter the classroom.

Sometimes, it's a tiny hand reaching for yours when the world feels too big and overwhelming.

Sometimes, it's a child's first spoken word, a fear overcome, or the courage to try something independently.

And sometimes, it's a parent who stops you for just a moment and says something you will remember for years.

I work with children, but lately I've been realizing how much I also learn from their parents.

About trust.

About gratitude.

About kindness and sensitivity.

And about how the love and goodness we give to others somehow find their way back to us.

I don't know how this competition will end.

I don't know how many votes I'll receive or what place I'll eventually finish in.

But I'm beginning to understand something very important.

Perhaps I'm already receiving the greatest reward of all.

In those spontaneous congratulations.

In those warm and heartfelt words.

In the trust of parents who place their most precious treasures — their children — in my care every single day.

I don't need to finish in first place to know that my work matters.

Of course, standing on the podium would be wonderful! I'm only human, and such recognition would bring me tremendous joy. ❤️

But even if that doesn't happen, I will still carry all these little moments with me.

Moments that cannot be measured in votes.

Because some awards are never presented on a stage. They are given straight from one heart to another.

And today, those are the awards I am most grateful for. ❤️

With love and gratitude,

Patrycja ❤️
