So, Im beginning my two last years as a student in theology. Im turning 30 this year, and it has been a long journey. From being a very dogmatic fundamentalist christian, to more mystic oriented. One of the things I really love about christianity is that it is the religion of the Word, dvinity is somehow found in the spoken or written word. I found this to be very true, becuase, learning how to think, and to know what you think, and to articulate it clearly, is one of the most life-changing, and powerful things you can ever invest your time in.
That is the reason why it is important for me to start writing on steemit. Its not come with answers, as much as it is a way to share my genuin thoughts on the world, God and my own life. Im also very pleased with my choice of studying to become a priest in the Norwegian Church. However, I am quite alternative, and I dont know exactly how I will fit in there. This will be part of my journey the next two years. However I do believe, the west so to speak, is in need of a spiritual awakening. And I do believe it needs to be found within its own religious tradition, and needs to be done in an intellectual way, and in a experience-based way that also is life-changing and life-transforming.
The more we hold on to any kind of litteralism when it comes to our christian tradition, the more we destroy for our future. The more we learn to understand that our picture of God, never is or can be God, the closer we are to creating a christian spirituality that is meaningful and helpful. So, hopefully, I will find time to write here on Steemit regularly the next years, and we will see what will come out of that.
Bless you all.
