The answer is no, vegans don't eat honey.

What about vegetarians? Vegetarians usually do not exclude honey from food, as well as many other products of animal origin (PPP). I don't really like them.

Why don't I like vegetarians? Because one of their actions, as the purchase of a product that does not contain PPP, they support the development of the vegan market, and the other their action, as the purchase of cheesecake, which includes milk, that is, PPP, they support the market of animal exploitation. Thus, if you display their action on a straight line, on which a person goes from left to right, it will be like his step forward and immediately reverse step back, thus, the person will stand still and not move on a straight line. So, the action is meaningless. If we fight for a better life — vegetarians stand on the side of meat eaters for me. And I'm thrilled to see them all on ours. So I see two ways — either you don't rule out PPP, or you rule them out completely.

Why don't vegans eat honey?

For the same reasons that we do not use other products of animal origin:

👎 🏼 Bees feel pain. Yes, they are insects with a highly developed nervous system, feel everything, like people.

👎 🏼 In the process of collecting honey can not do without killing and damaging a large number of bees. The exploitation of bees also is the exploitation of the feminine — the owners of the farms have resorted to artificial insemination for the Queen bee, male bees beheaded to provoke the release of the penis. Queens also kill, replacing every 1-2 years on more active.

👎 🏼 Stolen honey from bees is replaced by sugar, which is not their normal diet. From this bees are sick and live less.

👎🏼 In honey there is nothing for what it cost to torment nature. And the benefits would not justify the harm. Honey composition: 38% fructose, 31% glucose, 1% sucrose, 13-20% water, 9% other sugars, 0.17% ash, 3.38% other (in small amounts vitamins B1, B2, B6, E, K, C, carotene, folic acid). Moreover, the use of honey by children can lead to child botulism.

We can't survive without bees. There are about 20,000 species and about 500 genera of bees in the World, pollinating more than 80% of crops, which is more than a third of all products consumed by humans. When the number of bees reaches a critically low level of numbers, with their complete disappearance, first lost crops, vegetables and fruits, cotton will disappear and the ability to make clothes out of it, hunger will come. By the way, now bees are dying out at an alarming rate around the world.

👎🏼 A swarm of bees forcibly removed from the wild, the uterus cut off the wings so she couldn't get Roy back.

💁 🏽 ♀ Good but it turned out that honey is not so useful and necessary, perhaps even harmful, its production harms the environment, exploits the feminine, brings suffering and pain to the bees.

Should I? If you must... As with the rest of the PPP, we have our own vegan options: Apple and other fruit syrups, maple syrup, agave nectar, brown rice syrup, barley malt, sorghum syrup, cane sugar, beet sugar.
