दो भिक्षुक थे, जिन्हें नदी के उस पार जाना था । नदी के किनारे पर उन्हें एक व्याकुल स्वी मिली । उरने भी नदी के दूसरे त्तट पर जाना था । परंतु न उसे तैरना आता था और न ही वहॉ पर नाव की कोई व्यवस्था थी । अत्त: उसने दोनों भिक्षुकों को अपनी व्यथा सुनाईं । भिक्षुक उसे परेशानी में देख, खुद दुविधा में पड़ गए कि अब क्या किया जाए? ' तब उनमें रने एक भिक्षुक नै कहा 'आप मेरे कंधे पर बैठ जाइए, में तैरकर आपको सकुशल नदी के उस पार पहुँचा
दूंगक्वा' इस तरह वे तीनों नदी के दूसरे तट पर पहुंचगए। स्वी उम्हें धन्यवाद देकर अपने रास्ते चली गई। दोनों भिक्षुक भी शाम तक अपनी मंजिल के नज़दिक पहुंच गए ।

जिस भिक्षुक ने अपने कथे पर स्वी को बिठाकर नदी धार कराईं थी, उसने अपने साथी के बदले हुए व्यवहार क्री देखकर उसका कारण जानना चाहा ओर उससे पूछा 'शाम सै तुम्हारा व्यवहार बदला बदला सा क्यों है ओर तुम नाराज़ भी लग रहे हो? कभी भी इससे मुक्त नहीं होते.
इसी तरह इंसान भी अपने मन में कोई बात रखकर जीवनभर परेशान रह सकता है । उसे इस बात का कभी एहसास भी नहीं होता कि इस तरह वह कोन
