This day I make myself life's sweetest cared -
No longer for others alone shall I toil.
My heart and mind shall with beauty be spared,
As painted locks and lips my soul recoil.
The harshness of years shall like lace seem to me,
Gray silken strands that adornment weave.
Good vibes my walk's music sweet shall be,
Each step the earth with glad echo I leave.
No matter what comes I shall poise still retain,
Within and without beauty nourish like flowers.
Myself and the world brightly now I'll remain,
This gift of myself treasuring ever in bowers of hours.
For joy is life's coin that no aging can claim,
And self-care makes every moment richer by name.
