Lucknow is one of the oldest cities of India with a rich culture and amazing cuisine. I would like to take you on a photo tour of Lucknow with the images of some of the iconic places.
This is one of the most famous places of Lucknow (Bara Imambara) also known as the Asifi Mosque which is located in the same complex. This was built by the Nawab of Awadh.
This is a shot from the Labyrinth located in the same complex of Asifi Mosque. It is an intelligently constructed place where a person can get lost in the many allies and windows of the Labyrinth.
Another shot of the Labyrinth. This place is so intelligently constructed that if you even whisper at one end of this place, person at the other end can hear that whisper. Guides over there will demonstrate it by lighting a match stick at one end and we heard it on the other.
This is Roomi Darwaza, an entry point to the Bara Imambara complex.
Lucknow as a city is beautiful too, Budha park is one of those examples. Government authorities created this as a beautification plan for the city. A good evening hangout place.
Nights are for the food of Lucknow, especially the Galouti Kebabs.... Oh! that taste, every bite will dissolve in your mouth. In the shot you can see the dough of Kebabs.
Lucknow is a place you will fall in love with, a must visit place if you are in India. Best months are between November and March.
