If you have little dark day ,that is ok for you to click a photograph of a flower ,You have no shadows and no harsh bright spots and that makes your shot a perfect one with a good exposure.
So when the sun is directly i front of you and make your flower to glow if lighting from behind.
So watchout for wind ,for that the perfect time is morning .if still there is a wind then you can use a reflector to block the wind.
Close photographs of flowers are loved by all ,try to maintain a proper distance according to your camera lens.
If your flower is in shade ,try to use a reflector to focus more light on your flower .
