Hehehe...Guys we all know it’s the season of Love and I know some of us have plans already this Valentine. And to the "single pringles" LOL you’re not left out on this one because you never can tell what your crush have for you, it can come as a surprise package so just keep your fingers crossed. And to the love birds out there what are your plans? What’s that spectacular thing that you wish to do with your partner, where is that place you want to visit for beacation and have good memories of. All this acts are said to be Love Language. Some persons would prefer to have a treat in their home, some would love to have surprise gifts, while some would just want the presence of their Partner around nothing else and this would mean a whole lot to them.
What Then Is Love Language
Love language can best be described as the way we receive and express love to others or something. Knowing your love language or having to know your partner language can help improve your relationship. Some of us have one or two preferred love languages, it could be receiving gifts or just words of affirmation letting your partner knows how much they mean to you constantly reminding them that you’re there for them and so on. One thing you shouldn’t do is guessing your partners love language or express your love through your own preferred love language and there are chances that it won’t get noticed by your partner. Let’s say an act of Services is your love language, and one morning you just show up at partners place cooking or doing laundry willingly for Him/Her without asking because you feel that’s what you love and you just concluded that they would love same thing. Meanwhile, your partner hardly values those kind act but appreciates gifts. This they would appreciate more, not everyone values being cooked for or doing laundry.
Love Language can be expressed through mere words of affirmation expressing love through spoken affection, saying positive things to your partner, giving them nice compliments that you mean from your hearts, and always reminding them how much you love and cherish them. If this moves you then this is your love language.
Another way love language can be expressed is through acts of service like I explain earlier anything that your partner does for you willingly and brings you joy is a sign of love to you. Am such a lazy person when it comes to domestic work but when it comes to money...Nah...I can break my back for it. This one I appreciate it so much. You feel cared for when your partner do things for you before you could even do it, brings breakfast to bed for you before you wake up. If you love and appreciate this things then this is your love language.
Receiving gifts can be your love language LOL and this one is mine too and almost everyone loves language, like who doesn’t love gifts? Well I do. I like receiving surprise gift and I know you do too because this makes you feel special in some way. It doesn’t have to be so materialistic, gifts can come in any form.
Getting quality time is another love language. Like to you nothing means anything if you’re not getting the attention you want. Undivided attention is like a turn off. When your partner is truly present this makes you feel so important and love. Some people value this more than anything. Like when you need them, they’re there for you, to listen and spend good times with you.
And then public display of affection.Hmmm...this one, I do not like it. It a big turn off for me because am a shy person, and it end up bringing fight between me and my boyfriend everytime were out LOL and he’s the opposite of me when we’re together. This is another sign of love language to some people. This one involves if a person love physical touch like holding hands, kisses, hugs, and other touches in the public and are your preferred way to show and receive love because that’s the best way you feel being loved which convey warmth and safety between you and your partner.
The best way to know your partners love language is by paying attention to them with this you will know what they like and what they do not, like things your partner doesn’t enjoy doing.
So tell me what Your love language is.
