Cars parked at owners risk
I see this sign post in almost every commercial car parks and I wonder why people would still park their cars knowing the risks behind it. But that’s not where I am heading to LOL.
There is this cousin of mine from my maternal side, he had a girlfriend with 2 kids for him, they were both living together happily, planning marriage, things going well with them and he had so many plans with her in the future. But along the line things went off, plans changed and my cousin decided to leave the country to South Africa in search for greener pastures.
Fortunately for him things worked out well in regards to his relocation to South Africa. He stayed back in SA for 3 years before he could start visiting Nigeria. There was a last visit he made to Nigeria on one occasion I could remember he stayed very long with his family and I payed them a visit.
We were all in the living-room with his family chatting and laughing and then I asked him if he had plans on going back soon he said yes, that he was leaving that week and suddenly the girlfriend said furiously "Car parked at owners risk" LOL everyone kept mute wondering what she meant by those words and then I realized she was talking about her boyfriend.
I guess you know what she actually meant by her statement. To my own illustration she’s the car parked in Nigeria and the owner is in South Africa and when a car is parked without the owner around, burglar can break in. Yeah and that was what she meant and my cousin understood that so well and kept mute too for a while. Before he could answer her I quickly had to change the topic just to avoid conflict between them because I knew that was how it would have ended that day.
I would like to ask this question,
Do you really think it’s a wrong idea for ones partner to relocate and leave the other behind?
