1st of August will be a historical date for Bitcoin, and you better be prepared.

Thankfully, the two main wallets I use are prepared for it, and I can only recommend everyone to move their BTC off of exchanges/undisclosed wallets to one of the following:

Trezor

It may be too late to order and receive one in time, but Trezor is ready for any split.

Electrum

From Release Notes:

Release 2.9 - Independence
Blockchain fork detection and management:
- The SPV module will download and verify block headers from
multiple branches
- Branching points are located using binary search
- The desired branch of a fork can be selected using the network dialog

If I interpret this correctly, we will be able to select the fork we want to send coins from via the network dialog.

Version 2.9 stable is not released yet.
