Silver Shield Sentry is a very good ranged attacker in Splinterlands with impressive stats and abilities. I believe that adding such an effective card to your deck is very important.
If I talk about its visual appearance, it looks like a lion shaped monster. It is wearing battle armor with a war helmet on its head. It is holding a bow in its hands and arrows can be seen on its back.
The lion looks ready to attack its enemies with arrows and destroy them. Its visual appearance is very beautiful and it has an aggressive stance. Along with its character design, its powers and abilities are also excellent.
As I mentioned it is a ranged attacker but it also has good armor and health. Because of this you can use it as a frontline monster, a secondary tank or even place it in the backline. However considering its abilities I will explain its best positioning in the next section.
It is a 9 mana monster card. You can easily select it in high mana battles and sometimes you can also use it in lower mana battles. However it is better to use it in high mana matches so that you can position it properly and make the best use of this monster.
If I talk about its power, it is a ranged attacker with 5 ranged attack at level 10, meaning it deals 5 damage to the enemy every round. This is heavy damage and there are some monsters that it can eliminate with a single attack.
It also has 5 armor which protects its health. The armor absorbs damage from melee and ranged attackers and keeps its health safe. It has 5 health which defines its survivability.
With this combination of health and armor it can easily survive for two to three rounds. If you support it with healing or protection monsters, it can stay alive even longer and the longer it survives, the more damage it continues dealing to the enemy.
It also has 3 speed which helps it attack faster and gives it a chance to make enemy attacks miss. These are its main stats at level 10.
Now let's talk about its three special abilities that are Close Range, Bulwark and Rebirth.
At the highest level, it gains these three excellent abilities.
Normally, ranged attackers cannot attack from the first position. However because this monster has the Close Range ability it can continue attacking even if you place it in the frontline.
In other words it has no restriction on attacking based on its position. Whether you place it in the front or elsewhere it will keep attacking continuously. As I mentioned earlier, even if you use it as a frontline or secondary tank it will still attack making this one of its best abilities.
The purpose of Bulwark is that when you place this monster in the first position, its attack power is reduced but its health and armor increase significantly.
This means that if you put it in the frontline it works like a tank while if you place it in the backline it functions as an aggressive attacking monster.
With Rebirth, when the monster is eliminated, it comes back to life. It returns with 1 health while keeping the armor and other stats granted by the ability, effectively giving it another chance to continue fighting.
Any monster with these three abilities becomes extremely dangerous and can be a real disaster for the opponent.
Keeping these abilities in mind its best position is the frontline. By placing it there you only lose a small amount of attack power but you gain additional armor and health, while also making full use of the Rebirth ability. Since it also has Close Range, it can continue attacking enemy units even from the first position.
Now let's talk about its price. Its market value depends on its level. At the starting level, you can get it for around 2 cents. As it levels up its price can range from around 2 dollars up to approximately 8.5 dollars at the maximum level.
This card is very reasonably priced considering its abilities so adding it to your deck is a good choice. However if some players cannot afford to buy it, they can simply rent it. Depending on its level the rental cost may range from 1 DEC to 200 DEC per day.
