Steppe Stalker Review — A Powerful Water Monster with Useful Abilities in Splinterlands
Steppe Stalker Review in Splinterlands
Hi guys how are you all? I hope you all are doing great. After a long time I am back again with a new Splinterlands monster review. So let us get started.
Today I am going to talk about a very interesting monster called Steppe Stalker.
This monster belongs to the Water element and comes from the Conclave Arcana edition. It is a Common monster that comes with a different design and some very useful abilities.
Steppe Stalker can be useful when we need ranged damage and want to support our team as well. It has some special abilities that make it more interesting as we increase its level. So in this post I will explain its stats and abilities along with its strengths and weaknesses. I will also explain how we can use this monster in battles.
Introduction
Steppe Stalker is a Water monster with a mana cost of 7. This is an important thing to consider because we need to manage our mana carefully before building our team. A 7 mana monster is not cheap but it can still be a good choice when we have enough mana available.
This monster uses ranged attacks which means it can attack enemies from the backline. Ranged monsters are very useful because they can deal damage while staying behind our frontline tank. However ranged monsters usually cannot attack from the first position unless they have the Close Range ability or the battle rules allow it.
Stats of Steppe Stalker
Steppe Stalker's stats depend on its level. Its attack speed armor and health are important when we decide how and where to use it in battle.
At lower levels its main purpose is to deal ranged damage and make use of its Close Range ability. As we increase its level it gains additional abilities that make it more useful in different situations.
First Ability — Close Range
The first ability of Steppe Stalker is Close Range. This ability allows it to attack from the first position even though it is a ranged attacker.
Normally ranged monsters cannot attack from the first position. But with Close Range Steppe Stalker can continue attacking even when it reaches the frontline. This is very useful when our tank is defeated because we do not have to lose its ranged attacks.
Second Ability — Slow
At level 3 Steppe Stalker unlocks the Slow ability. This ability reduces the Speed of all enemy monsters by 1.
Speed is very important in Splinterlands because it affects the attack order and accuracy of monsters. Faster monsters usually attack before slower monsters. By reducing the enemy team's Speed we can give our monsters a better chance to attack first.
This ability can be very useful because it does not only help Steppe Stalker but can also support our entire team.
Third Ability — Painforge
At level 5 Steppe Stalker unlocks Painforge. This special ability can increase its attack power under certain conditions.
Painforge gives this monster 1 additional power when it takes damage from Poison or Burning or when it is hit by an ally. This can make Steppe Stalker more dangerous during battle because its attack power can increase when these conditions are met.
I think this is an interesting ability because it gives the monster another way to improve its offensive power.
Fourth Ability — Shield
The fourth and final ability of Steppe Stalker is Shield which it unlocks at level 10.
This ability reduces incoming melee and ranged damage by 50 percent rounded up. It is a very useful defensive ability because melee and ranged attacks are common in Splinterlands battles.
With Shield Steppe Stalker becomes more resistant to physical attacks and can have a better chance of surviving against enemies that use melee or ranged damage.
My Opinion
In my opinion Steppe Stalker can work well when we want to build a balanced Water team. We should not only focus on its attack because its abilities can also provide useful support to our team.
I think this is an interesting Water monster because it offers ranged damage along with several useful abilities. Close Range allows it to attack from the first position while Slow helps reduce the enemy team's Speed. Painforge can increase its attack power under certain conditions and Shield provides extra protection at higher levels.
Overall Steppe Stalker can be a useful choice when we use it with the right team and strategy. Its abilities make it an interesting monster to consider in different battles.
So guys that is all for today's post. I hope you all enjoyed reading my review and found it helpful. I will meet you all again in my next post. Until then take care and goodbye guys!
