That's a recent change and there may be a problem with GIFs. Can you share a link so I can check out the issue myself?

What are you using? Model and tools?

Thanks. I'll think about some of those ideas 👍 The "skin" was a thing I thought about a while back but it was a bit difficult from the implementation point of view 😅

I know that you weren't impressed with the ads last time but they were barely trialed before they were removed. We tested for a few months, not just weeks. We got complains but very very low revenues.

Do you think people will pay for a battle pass (like a season pass) if there are no money in the reward pool? Just gamification rewards?

PeakD has probably received funding support longer than most Hive frontends. One thing I’ve often wondered is whether a portion of that funding could have been consistently placed into HBD savings over

The way I think about this is simple. When the DHF spends money to fund projects it's already a sort of "taxing the rich". The money spent by the DHF "dilute" large stakeholder way

I'm ok with this, but the user base is so little, who's willing to pay within those? Some might just change front end... True, but we don't have to cover the cost of a 10+ developer team :D As for image

Why put the burden on the user to mute obvious spam like bpcvoter. I agree, it's a burden. But also something nobody should decide on your behalf.

I'm totally onboard with the idea if you want to start a common unified storage project and coordinate all the different actors. But one thing I want to mention is that even if storage is a recurring cost

Can you help me understand this better? You want some floating widgets customizable for the project? Or generic ones? Or something like the "send tips" we already have but not limited to Hive

Yes, it's expensive and one of those bills that can only go up. Not crazy expensive right now, but going up month over month.

This has always been the ultimate goal, but honestly it seems hard to do for a small team (even with AI).

I thought about that and I have some other ideas for a better gamification of the platform. But we have to solve the sustainability thing first.

Ottimo italiano 😊 I totally understand the logic, but not sure it applies here. Hive right now is a niche, bad times can very likely kill it. I'm not sure we have time for a full cycle 😅

They should try themselves and get rich 🤣

We track everyone (if not blocked by browser). But our analytics are very privacy focused. We track the bare minimum to count visitors and views.

The number of users is not huge and I feel like we have an incredibly high percentage of them on Brave (or using an ad blocker extension). Cannot be sure because Brave also blocks our analytics so we cannot

I think that's where the consensus was pushing for, to be self funding and not rely on the DHF. I don't think the self funding will ever get close to fully replace the DHF in terms of funding. But I may

Revenues so low it was not worth it. Like really really low 😅
