💜 Being Content With What We Already Have 💜

Today's "quote to live by" was inspired by my current feelings towards Steemit, which quite frankly are a bit all over the place at the moment.

For a very long time now I've known that I won't find happiness in "things".

Whilst this made my life simpler, it was a bit of a nightmare for my family for Christmas and Birthday ideas, until my kids got old enough to borrow their Dad's credit card and book me trips and experiences. 😁

I've long been clearing material clutter out of my life and would be even happier with less, so I'm definitely not seeking more physical "stuff".

However, seeking more doesn't only relate to objects, and some habits are harder to give up than others. Joining Steemit has been a fertile ground for exposing where I'm still living from a place of "not enough".

I frequently check how much SP I've earned and I want more. I look at my reputation score and I wish it was higher.

I keep vacillating between playing the game I set out to play, i.e. seeing what I can create here without using any "real" money and being tempted to buy Steem to move faster. I'm not judging myself negatively for this, it's just the way it is for now.

All of these things take me out of the moment where everything is enough and less is more.
