[ESP/ENG] Paisaje De la Noche En Un Acantilado. Pintura en Acuarelas. / Cliff Night Landscape. Watercolor Painting.

He visto algunos paisajes de acantilados que se han vuelto tendencia. Son fabulosos. Inspiran tantas cosas y hay una variedad increíble, desde auténticas pinturas en diferentes técnicas hasta protectores de pantallas. Quise realizar mi propia versión de lo que sería para mí una noche perfecta en un acantilado. En la pintura que hice combiné varios elementos que me gustan como las aves nocturnas (perfectos para este diseño), montañas nevadas, bosque de pinos, un árbol en floración, la silueta de una mujer que contempla desde el acantilado y la aurora boreal. Todo en una misma pintura, les parece demasiado? Bueno les confieso que el bosque de pino es improvisado porque tenía el espacio entre el árbol donde posa la lechuza y el acantilado sin nada y pensé que quedaría bien el bosque de pinos. El proceso se los describo en lo sucesivo.

I've seen some cliff landscapes that have become trendy. They are fabulous. They inspire so many things and there is an incredible variety, from authentic paintings in different techniques to screen savers. I wanted to do my own version of what would be for me a perfect night on a cliff. In the painting I made I combined several elements that I like such as night birds (perfect for this design), snowy mountains, pine forest, a tree in bloom, the silhouette of a woman contemplating from the cliff and the aurora borealis. All in the same painting, does it seem too much? Well, I confess that the pine forest is improvised because I had the space between the tree where the owl perches and the cliff with nothing and I thought that the pine forest would look good. I will describe the process in the following.

Realicé el boceto que es muy simple. El acantilado, las siluetas de la mujer y la lechuza, la luna y los árboles. Es básicamente para tener una noción de dónde estará ubicado cada elemento porque no realicé ningún detalle además de los comentados.

I made the sketch which is very simple. The cliff, the silhouettes of the woman and the owl, the moon and the trees. It is basically to have a notion of where each element will be located because I didn't make any detail besides the commented ones.

Realicé la primera aplicación de pigmentos que es una capa muy aguada. Recordemos que en la técnica de acuarelas empezamos aplicando los colores más claros, que después al aplicar los mismos tonos pero más oscuros quedará en contraste y aparecerán las luces de cada objeto como por arte de magia. Pintar es mágico.

I made the first application of pigments which is a very watery layer. Remember that in the watercolor technique we start applying the lighter colors, which then applying the same tones but darker will be in contrast and the lights of each object will appear as if by magic. Painting is magic.

Trabajé la parte donde se refleja la aurora boreal. Apliqué pinturas en tonos azules, verdes, morado y rosa. Dejé unas franjas sin pintar para que refleje luminosidad. También apliqué colores en la luna y delimité la línea de las montañas.

I worked the part where the aurora borealis is reflected. I applied paints in shades of blue, green, purple and pink. I left some stripes unpainted to reflect luminosity. I also applied colors on the moon and delimited the line of the mountains.

Apliqué detalles a los elementos entre ellos la lechuza, la silueta de la mujer y empecé a realizar el follaje de los árboles. Y es así como finalmente quedó después de pulir algunos detalles.

I applied details to the elements including the owl, the silhouette of the woman and began to make the foliage of the trees. And this is how it finally looked like after polishing some details.
